Amenities Throughout Arbour Lake
Arbour Lake has a full host of retail amenities and restaurants nearby. You will find that only minutes away grocery stores, banks, and health amenities can be found at Crowfoot Crossing. Just because it is a nice calm community doesn’t mean there aren’t exciting places to check out. The question is; what are you looking for?
Shopping – There is no better place to go for all of your wants and needs than Crowfoot Crossing. With over 240 shops and services, this is a large mall that has countless options, including Lowes, Cineplex Odeon Theatres, Calgary Co-op, Safeway, Chapters Books, plus a host of boutiques and big box stores
Restaurants – There are days and nights that you just feel like cooking. Crowfoot Crossing has some wonderful choices to enjoy. You can find the Keg, Joey Crowfoot, Brewster’s, and a Chicken on the Way around there. But if this is not what you are looking for you can always take a quick train ride to downtown via Crowfoot C-Train station.
Services – Where can you find a bank, a salon, and perhaps even an insurance agency? The Crowfoot Crossing strikes again! Home to many opportunities for medical, dental, clothing alterations, and all things health and wellness. No matter what you are looking for, you are bound to find it with ease.

While the other two are public schools for older students called Arbour Lake School (5-9) and Robert Thirsk High School (10-12).
Getting Around Calgary from Arbour Lake
As a new community in Calgary, those with families can adore the peace and quiet that this resort-like ambiance provides. The benefit of living in Arbour Lake is the focus on the quality of life which means you can separate your work and personal life. It is still easy to get downtown as some people need to be able to commute. Arbour Lake has done this very well to make traveling easier.
Primary Routes
Arbour Lake is found in the northwest quadrant of Calgary, so if you are driving it is most likely you will get to the city center in 20 minutes. The best way to get to the city is to get to John Laurie Blvd NW. In a few short minutes take a right to Nose Hill Drive NW S which will eventually lead you to the Crowchild Trail E ramp. Stay on Crowchild until you come to the Bow Trail E exit which will guide you toward downtown. Crowchild Trail will lead you to Stoney Trail, which will easily connect you to the mountains or NW Calgary. Future Stoney Trail will lead you to Highway 1 and will connect you easily to the SW, but Crowchild is your main connector to the rest of the city as Arbour Lake is in the far NW quadrant of the city. Taking Crowchild Trail turns to Highway 1A which leads you out of the city to a small city, Cochrane, Alberta.
Transit
In Arbour Lake, you have easy access to the C-Train via the Crowfoot train station, conveniently getting you to the downtown core or South Calgary. If you are looking for more bus-type transit you can always take routes 76 and 138. However, both of the bus routes just take you to different train stations. It just depends on where you wish to end up.
