Head out to Airdrie for the city’s annual Festival of Lights from December 1st to 31st. The event features beautiful Christmas lights, miniature train rides, hot chocolate, bonfires, and much more. Santa visits on selected dates; check the calendar to see exactly what nights he’ll be joining in the fun, plus other special events that happen during the festival!
This is a volunteer-run event, so if you have a little spare time and want to spend it in a happy, festive environment – check out their volunteer opportunities!
Nose Creek Pond is located within the festival area and is a great place to skate outdoors when conditions permit. Don’t forget to check out the Christmas Eve Carols Around the Campfire!
New Year’s Eve
December 31st is the last night to enjoy the beautiful holiday light displays in Nose Creek Park. There’ll be a DJ dance party and a whole lot of family fun inside the heated tent. This is all in addition to the miniature train rides, hot chocolate, fire pits and lovely lights! Fireworks will take place at 6:30 pm in Ed Eggerer Park, then you can head straight over to Nose Creek Park afterwards!
