Extension of Downtown Calgary, Chinatown is a small community that serves the Chinese community in Calgary. There are a handful for commercial, retail, and residential households. Mostly an area for convenience for the Elderly. 

Recent development in the area including: Eau Claire and the Watermark neighbouring the Chinese Cultural Centre has made this hub a fantastic growth potential in Calgary. East Village is also a neighbouring community that is rapidly growing. Walking along the river near Chinatown is a fun activity to do at any season of the year. It's beautiful view of the Lions Bridge is one my favourite things to do in the city. Grabbing a bubble tea in downtown, or trying a new poke place too. Trendy asian snacks or checking out one of the festivals downtown is also something you can do in Chinatown. Calgary Court Restaurant off 2nd Avenue is a great place to eat, or Silver Dragon is a classic Chinese Restaurant.
